Simple is a lie, even though the ways and methods are simple to read, applying them to your life takes motivation, willpower and a want to be better than you are today.
If you have them things then you’re about to have your mind blown and learn what it’s taken me around 25 years to learn.
Sounds a little hippy, but in the modern business expect meditates and that’s not an exaggeration.
One of the most common habits of successful people is mindfulness and meditation.
This doesn’t mean you have to spend 40 minutes meditating every day. It just means do a small 5 minutes every single day with no days off, this simple 5 minutes can change your life.
Personally, it’s made me less reactive, more stoic and far less anxious.
All that has helped me build better relationships, have more control in business and have a better all-around life.
It sounds simple, IT IS NOT!
Most people think just lifting some weights 3 times a week is enough to really change your health and body…
…Even though it’s better than nothing, it’s far better for your body to involve in intense training, whether it’s hitting a punch bag for 5, 3 minute rounds or going on an intense run, you’ve got to be putting your body under stress through fitness for at least 20 minutes to really gain the benefits of exercising.
Obviously moving is always good, but why settle for less when you can work out the same amount of time and get loads more benefits.
Use Running As A Tool
There have been a few studies that have shown that running before you do something big helps improve short time memory and running after you do something big helps improve long term memory.
If you take this advice and apply it to learning you’ll find it easier to remember things either for the long term or short term.
You can also use walking as a tool to better your work, the next time you write something or do some hard work take a walk, think about what you’ve done and you’ll usually be able to see issues, make it better and even fix problems you’ve had while working.
Do A No Fap Reset
First off what the hell is NoFap?
Well, it’s a movement of people that have found that not masturbating or watching porn can have incredible effects on your life.
Now, if you don’t have a partner then personally I’d only recommend doing the NoFap reset, which is basically where you go around 30 days without masturbation and porn.
You then can start masturbating again, but should not start porn again.
Why the hell would you give up porn and masturbation?
It boosts libido, cures erectile dysfunction, lowers brain fog and helps you enjoy sex more.
You see porn desensitizes your brain making it hard for you to enjoy real sex, I mean why would you just settle for one woman/man when you can have 3 of both?
That’s the issue your brain doesn’t know the difference between real life and your thoughts/TV.
After you’ve cut this out for 30 days you can reward yourself with one of these male sex toys… That should be a good reward.
Have The Right Diet
There are a few things I’ve learned from dieting and the biggest has been not to take the advice of anyone who doesn’t have extensive clinical proof.
You should even take what I’m saying and double check everything, don’t just take Google’s word for it.
For example, I’m currently eating a vegetarian diet with fish oils and over animal products, it’s the best diet I’ve had so far, but will it work for you?
Probably not, you need to find what does work for you and the only way to do that is to stick to the basics:
- Eat lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.
- Drink water all day long.
- Don’t overeat.
- Take a multivitamin and fish oils.
Everything else you need to play with.
Currently, I’m only eating in 10-hour windows, meaning I don’t eat or drink anything that isn’t water till 9:30 am and then I eat lots of lovely food and stop eating and drinking anything that isn’t water by 7:30 pm.
This is awesome, but you shouldn’t take my word for it, try it yourself.
I only even mention it because dr Rhonda Patrick has been doing it and has done loads of research and is a real doctor. Check her video on it with Joe Rogan:
Just having the right diet can boost happiness, focus, lifespan and quality of life, this step shouldn’t be ignored and doesn’t need to be over complicated.
Build A Smart Routine
One of the most important things you need to master is routine and habit creation.
If you can’t master this then you’ll find it hard to stick to anything that doesn’t give you instant gratification.
For example, I have a small morning routine, I have a small wellbeing routine and a small night time routine.
I practice them all 6 – 7 days a week and after a few months if I miss one of the things I feel sad because I enjoy them so much.
This is crazy because a lot of the routine is based around things I didn’t enjoy at the start, like Yoga, ice baths, exercise, face masks, moisturizing and walking.
The Power Of Cold Water
Now there’s some pretty tremendous science done of the powers of cold water and even the negatives of cold water, now if you live in a cold climate or it’s winter you’ll probably think screw having a cold shower or bath…
…But there are multiple benefits:
- Resets your mood
- Helps aid muscle recovery
- Helps mental strength
Now the last one is where I want to focus.
It takes mental control to dunk yourself in a cold/ice bath, that mind control is the same one that will allow you to work through distractions, say hi to someone you don’t want to and helps you do the things you don’t want too.
I’ve done a few personal tests over the past month and ice baths after training and cold showers every day I don’t have a cold bath have made me far more mentally strong, not sure if it’s placebo, but either way, it’s something that’s contributed to my success.
If you want to know more about this checkout IceManwimhof, this guy is unreal, he does yoga, in just shorts on ice and has some incredible stories.
Go Out In The Sun
Not only does getting outside help clear your mind you also get vitamin d which is key for a healthy body and life.
You can get this by going out every day in the sun or by taking a supplement I personally recommend you do both.
This can help increase your happiness and improve your mental state, as well as provide you better all-around wellbeing.
The real benefits to this are the fun you can have going outside, if you’re like me and live outside a city with lots of random dirt tracks you can walk, explore, maybe see some animanls.
If you live in a city, maybe you can explore some random parts you’ve never been or find if there are any nature parks near you and head to them in a car for a long walk.
There’s nothing better than taking some time outside busy life to enjoy trees, wind, birds, and other wildlife, it really puts stuff into perspective.
Don’t Read Too Much
Before you lose your mind and get angry, understand that reading books and studying doesn’t make you successful.
If it did then everyone who went to a Tony Robbins Seminar would be rich and have their dream life.
This is vary rarly the case.
People get hooked on information and being book smart and it is impressive, but a trend I’m seeing so often the past few years is… People apearing far smarter than they are.
They can recall amazing book information, through out satistics and tell you what problems are, but they’ve never actuallyed used any of the advice they’ve learned in books.
People will read the 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing and tell you all about how a marketing campaign should be run, but have never done a marketing campaign or any research for themselves.
You see it everywhere people will tell you how to talk to people and be confident in any situation, only to buckle when you talk to a stranger.
I know this issue because I believed the hype around books and ended up wasting countless hours and became one of them got the gear, but no idea type of people.
Instead, now I work, I create amazing things and when I get stuck I look for books that can help.
For example, if I’m about to do a marketing campaign I’ll find a breakdown of the 22 Immutable Laws of Marketing and apply what makes sense to my ads and marketing.
That way I’ve learned something that has to improve what I’ve created, instead of learning something for the sake of learning.
Focus On Learning One Thing At A Time
In a beautiful world, you’d be able to read ten books at once and take the advice of ten people all way acting and creating awesomeness.
This just isn’t the case, at that speed, it’ll only be a matter of time before you burn out.
Instead, find one book you love and spend the next year focusing on applying everything that resonates with you.
Give one topic your whole attention and you’ll actually start getting value from the content you consume.
For example, you have three things in your life:
Now they all play a part in having a beautiful life.
So, pick your most important, most people will choose money.
Then ask yourself what do you need to do to make as much money as you can.
The next question is how can I make my life as filled with love and happiness while I do all I can to make money.
Create your life like this instead of trying to balance everything and having no clear focus.
Know What You Want
It’s as simple as that.
The people who know exactly what they want get it.
Now you’ll need to work your butt off, but trust me, you will work your butt off whether you know what you want or not.
So it’s best to have a clear direction.
You’ll hear so many people tell you this and is because it’s the absolute truth and one of the key factors in becoming the best version of yourself.
